The study makes a comprehensive assessment of the sustainability of the construction sector in Colombia, focusing on four dimensions: environmental, economic, social and organizational management. The importance of the study lies in the need to implement practices that promote sustainable development in the construction sector. The purpose of the study is to determine how the sector's activities can contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and define actions for continuous improvement. The theoretical underpinnings emphasize the integration of sustainability into organizational strategy, economic and social indicators, and environmental compensation initiatives. The research is descriptive and quantitative in approach. Sixty-six subdimensions were defined to assess the environmental, economic, social and organizational management dimensions. The instrument was validated by experts in terms of content, consistency and reliability through Cronbach's Alpha and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The sample includes 84 companies, providing a comprehensive view of the performance of companies in the sector. The results indicate that the overall sustainability performance is 78%, with organizational management and the social dimension achieving compliance rates of 86% and 84%, respectively. The conclusions emphasize the effective integration of sustainable practices and the need to implement a comprehensive strategy that addresses the environmental, economic, social and organizational dimensions of sustainability. The findings reaffirm the importance of improving plan management and reporting to foster a culture of sustainability in the construction sector.
