Organizational slack: a bibliometric analysis of scientific production on the web of science (1983 - 2018)

Abstract

This article aimed to identify the elements that describe the profile of scientific publications on organizational slack in journals indexed in the Web of Science database from 1983 to 2018, covering the terms “folga organizacional”, "organizational slack" or "holgura organizacional". The main results showed that the scientific production on the subject has 44 works, with emphasis on the most recent period, from 2014 to 2018, with 45.4% of the publications surveyed. Most articles are classified in the Business Economics area and are predominantly produced by authors whose institutions are headquartered in the United States, Taiwan, and China. In addition, a cooperation between clusters was identified and the works cited concentrate, among their keywords, the terms performance, management, organization slack and economy.
