Desenvolvimento de fornecedores na cadeia de suprimentos estendida:
implementação e aperfeiçoamento da gestão

A competitividade das empresas do setor elétrico depende da gestão de sua cadeia de suprimentos estendida, mas há poucas pesquisas empíricas sobre a metodologia para alcançá-la. Portanto, o objetivo é analisar a relação entre a implementação de um programa adequado de desenvolvimento de fornecedores no grupo empresarial Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. (ISA) e o aprimoramento da gestão de sua cadeia de suprimentos. Os elementos conceptuais e operacionais do programa foram determinados experimentalmente com base num modelo hipotético adotado, o qual foi ajustado qualitativamente às necessidades dos stakeholders através de projetos-piloto para a implementação de processos seguindo a tendência evolutiva dos padrões internacionais de gestão. Como constatação representativa, constatou-se que o programa implementado na ISA, condicionado ao desenvolvimento das capacidades e competências dos seus fornecedores do setor elétrico, apresenta uma relação positiva com a melhoria da gestão da sua cadeia alargada de abastecimento. Uma das principais contribuições deste estudo é que os resultados podem facilitar a implementação de novos programas setoriais adequados para o desenvolvimento de habilidades e competências específicas de fornecedores críticos, a melhoria da gestão de outras cadeias de suprimentos estendidas e as decisões de suprimentos em fornecedores gerenciamento.
