Abstract

This paper presents the system of inflatable molds analyzing its applicability in pre-cast concrete piles, comparing the technical and economic viability in relation to the steel deck. The theme was given because the search for new technologies at low cost and easy applicability. In the case study interviews were conducted and visits to the work that used this technique collecting data on the durability, runtime, reduction of manpower, cost and demand. Information with comparative data between the inflatable and metal molds, observing the optimization in construction processes were obtained. In the course of the research, it became known from other applications in the works of great importance in Brazil, for execution of pre - cast piles. The lack of discussion and scientific approaches to the issues related to the theme, which meant that we delve further field research on the subject. We conclude that the method is feasible inflatable mold, and shorten the assembly and disassembly, with an increase in productivity, reduction of losses of materials thereby reducing the cost.
