Abstract

Bioconstruction of a dry toilet as a proposal for ecological sanitation in the reuse in composting, use of material from the region and the reuse of remains of construction materials, being a way to reduce the volume of waste generated by society and civil construction. In the current scenario of waste of materials and contamination of the environment, bioconstruction becomes an ecological and sustainable alternative to reduce the impact of the bio environment. The main objective is to prove whether it is ecologically viable and sustainable to build a dry toilet in bioconstruction as an alternative system in civil engineering. The methodology was based on descriptive, exploratory, explanatory, bibliographic and field research. Sketches, structural models and architectural plans were created. The operation of the dry toilet was schematized and illustrated, and the materials used to build the dry toilet were described. Photos of all the construction processes of this bathroom were included in this article and, finally, the operation of the dry bathroom with resources used in bioconstruction.
