Abstract

This paper aims to present to draw a parallel between the urbanization policies established between the “16th and 19th centuries” and how these principles influence until today, in the housing problems of the most disadvantaged regions, with a more specific look at the city of São Paulo. It aims to show people that no matter how expensive a project may seem, at first, the technical security and the look of a skilled professional behind the planning will pay off over the years. Based on this thought, the research work will be conducted. Thus, the application is based not only on inspecting the works and making them more accessible to inspectors, but also on guiding citizens on the need for technical monitoring of their works. The application itself intends not only to inspect irregular works with the collaboration of society, but also to bring them into the social discussion about the importance that well-designed projects can mean more durability to the structure. In addition, to be able to create another channel of approximation with architects and engineers, why these professionals are not even considered to offer their services in peripheral regions and try to change, through this initiative, the social view on how an experienced professional, managing the construction, is of vital importance.
